  1. austere (adj): very plain (The people are still leading an austere life in the mountain.)
  2. esoteric (adj): difficult understand (Some words are really too esoteric for this dictionary.)
  3. facsimile (noun): an accurate copy (This is a facsimile edition of an eighteenth century book.)
  4. grotesque (adj): strange-looking (His face has a grotesque appearance.)
